Tell us something about yourself. What is your niche? How did you get your idea or concept for the business?
I fell in love with gemstones at a very young age. I often looked at them and was instantly transported into a different land, they invoked creativity and the desire to dream. They seemed magical to me. I was like Alice lost in Wonderland. Through my store, I wanted to share the beauty of these hand-cut and hand-carved gemstones. As we know machines are replacing humans it is, therefore, a step to preserve the skilled artists in India.
What are your responsibilities as a business owner?
It is not easy, especially since Covid-19. Your team is like a family that needs to be cared for and nurtured and in these difficult times, it’s not been a smooth ride as there has been a disruption in the work cycle not just that even logistics has been really messed up. I manage my Etsy stores single-handedly, I also design and create along with that. It’s difficult to explain to a customer the trouble you are facing they are quick in giving a review without giving thought to the hard work we put behind it.
What are your best selling products, what type of materials are used in your creations, how do you design your products, what makes your products stand out?
Handmade is what stands out. My best selling products are hand-carved gemstone phone grips and stars.

I actually answer the messages received on my Etsy stores within 20 mins even in the middle of the night.
The lesson I learned is that you have to take it easy at times. It cant be perfect all the time.
