Tell us something about yourself. What is your niche? Why did you start your business?
It is Time to Pray. GOD gave me the vision to equip His servants with all the necessary tools needed to Fast and seek a better relationship with Him in this season.
What type of products do you sell? How does your manufacturing process look like?
Delu Organics provides Prayer Products, such as Sackcloth Prayer mats and Robes custom fit. Also, a host of natural products. Essential Oils featuring Haitian Castor Oil that we have manufactured in Haiti and shipped over, sage sticks, Haitian DjonDjon(black mushroom) that can be used for black rice and etc.

What are some challenging aspects of your business? How did you overcome them?
We reached a moment I’m time where we could no longer order from third party vendors. So we began seeking direct Organic producers of our products which we found by the Grace of GOD and now have them produce for us in bulk.
What do you enjoy most about being an entrepreneur? What’s the hardest about it?
The moment you step out on faith and make the decision to no longer ‘go to work’ where you’re guaranteed a check for the hours you work and being complacent in that aspect, that is a challenging first step but Scripture tells us to Trust in GOD and we have. My testimony will always be That He Provides.
What are some beginner mistakes you made? What advice or words of inspiration would you like to share?
There was a time that one had to ask ‘is this just for show, or are we serious?’ Because instead of seeking vendors we would buy products at the same price and sometimes more than we actually have them listed for online. It became a direct contradiction of progress and impeded our growth. So find your products at a price that will be beneficial to both your customers and yourself.
What inspires you while designing and/or creating new products.
To fulfill the vision in which GOD Ordained for me. It’s Time To Pray. I am honored to provide the necessary products to help our Prayer Warriors all around the world.
How did you get the background and skills necessary to run this type of business?
I am a tailor and have been sewing for 40+ years. It was an organic transition to use the gift GOD gave me to do His Will.
What are some of the most effective ways in terms of marketing products to your customers?
Social media, Etsy also provides a tool to list your products higher in searches. Also, if you’re confident about your products, encourage buyers to leave reviews.
What would you say are the key elements for starting and running a successful online business?
Persistence is key. Don’t think because it’s not a storefront that you don’t have to “clock in” set times throughout the day to make sure your business is at peak level.
How do you personally define business success? Is it money? Freedom? Influence? Creative expression and innovation? Something else?
Freedom. Scripture speaks a lot on the Gifts GOD provides and the opportunities in which they will unlock. When you find your purpose and live in your purpose, that spiritual freedom is indescribable.

Describe your day-to-day operation. How do you manage your time?
Inventory, Inventory, Inventory. Finding new products and vendors is a daily grind. Upon receiving orders, everything is packaged ASAP and sent out the next day depending on the time the order was received.
How do you plan on growing your business? What is the biggest impact on your profitability?
Provide more products that represent Delu Organics. More than the profit we want to be sure that our GOD Ordained brand is held to a righteous standard.
