… All of our products are handmade and packaged in NYC. We source all American raw goods and custom made fragrance oils. … The small wood products we make are always functional, sometimes multifunctional, and equally as important, they most always have a strong eye appeal, different than anything already on the market. Some of my product designs have happened in a flash, others receiving care thought, and experimentation. Once I know what it is going to look like, I never make one of something.

…I’m the owner and designer for Dare to Dream Prints. Operated by my wife and me, we specialize in art-gallery quality prints specializing in vintage book covers style art and contemporary abstract art. My store started in 2014 when inspirational quotes were extremely popular and the idea dawned on me, having dabbled in typography, to produce my own range of quite prints but critically let them be personalized to create a truly unique inspirational quote.

…In the very beginning, we had a set of professional photographs done of some of our items which I think helped to start us on our way. Also, we learned the hard way to get our postage and packaging costs right, to do the research, and to make sure we are always in profit.

…Cosmic snacks LLC is a family-owned and operated business out of Ogden Utah. We first started on July 4th, 2020. With all the events closed due to the pandemic, we wanted to bring something back to our community, so we bought a couple of snack machines and handed out free treats to everyone. We had so much fun doing it we set up again for “Ogden pioneer days” on the 24th of July and posted it on social media. From that point, things really picked up.

…The biggest impact on profit is the cost of shipping and having to reship items because the postal service has been impacted so severely by Covid. I do try to offer free shipping on everything, which is embedded in the cost of the product.
